THE NEW RESISTABALL: TOYS!
Come back to the functionality of the Resistaball. Learn how to incorporate the Resistaball into almost any group fitness class you teach, from cardio to strength to flexibility. You will gain oodles of ideas, including how to use the Resistaball with other pieces of equipment like medicine balls, BOSU, Gliding Disks, and foam rollers! (Equipment: 55cm stability balls and a selection from among the following: Gliding disks, medicine balls or other small balls, BOSU, foam rollers, mini Body Bars, Smart Bells) |

Whether you are a personal trainer or an innovative group fitness instructor, this workshop will give you creative, functional new uses for the Resistaball for partners! Take away both exercises and patterns of movement that enhance posture, strength, and flexibility in which sometimes two people share one Resistaball and in others two people use two Resistaballs. Learn new techniques -- backed by research -- for training each of the following: the rectus abdominus, erector spinae/multifidus group, obliques, and quadratus lumborum as we search for "killer core" and "amazing abs." Learn in this workshop how to maximize both proprioception and body placement to train the body towards its most functional capacity. Lawrence will show you how to create an experience to address core stability and mobility intensely and traditionally at first (HARD CORE), and then flow into a more mind-body application of core challenge (PEACE CORE). Roll This!: Total Conditioning on the Foam Roller (for Group Ex and PT)
Learn what a difference to your body a foam roller makes! Working with the 3-foot foam roller, multiple award-winning master instructor Lawrence Biscontini, MA, introduces you to its many uses for both home and gym. In the first section, Lawrence shows how to use the foam roller for self-massage, called myofascial release. In the second section, Lawrence shows you great core training exercises for the entire body in various positions. (Equipment: 6”, 3 feet foam rollers)

GOT BALLS?
Fuse the best of medicine ball and stability ball training as we combine our purpose of using an unstable base of support (the stability ball) and weighted, rounded resistance (the medicine ball). Lawrence will share with you exercises for individuals and groups that you take today and incorporate into your cutting-edge core training classes tomorrow, whether they are traditional sculpting classes or more mind-body like yoga and Pilates-inspired. There is "abs"-solutely nothing square about this workshop! (Equipment: inflated stability balls and medicine balls at ratio of one per participant)

STRENGTH REACTION! with the BOSU!
Experience with Lawrence innovative ways to use any existing gym equipment you have, bodyweight, and the BOSU Balance Trainer to sculpt the entire body. We address ALL muscle groups in this experience so that every muscle is always turned ON, working either to maintain stability or mobility. All exercises come with progressions of difficulty so that students of all abilities can attend and benefit! (Equipment: BOSU, 1 per participant, and either Gliding disks, medicine balls and/or handweights would be great but not obligatory) |
JUST B.E.: BALANCED EQUILIBRIUM with the BOSU!
Experience with Lawrence innovative ways to fuse yoga, Pilates, T'ai Chi, and Feldenkrais in one flowing workout while barefoot on the BOSU Balance Trainer. All exercises come with progressions of difficulty so that students of all abilities can attend and benefit! (Equipment: BOSU and yoga mats)
