AQUATIC HARD CORE AND PEACE CORE TRAINING
The first half of this water workshop is “hard core” and addresses aggressive sport-specific agility exercises for all healthy populations. The second half addresses “peace core,” involving mind-body applications for active flexibility, recovery, gait training, and balance. Learn new, research-based techniques for training movements, not muscles, emphasizing form over physique. (Equipment: noodles and gloves)
AQUA 20! 20! 20!: THE COMPLETE WORKOUT FOR DESPERATE HOUSE-LIVES!

AQUA ADVENTURE: THE BUDDHA AND THE SAMURAI
Fuse yoga and Pilates principles from the basis of stability and mobility. We will find the calm stability of yoga like a Barefoot Buddha and then add mindful mobility from Pilates with the precision of a Seasoned Samurai. This workshop teaches different ways to create mindfulness in different temperatures of water while manipulating from among: stopping, slow, and speed. (Equipment: gloves)
AQUA SPA FOR THE AQUA SOUL
Embark on an in-depth experience in self-care from the fusion of mind-body applications, spa approaches, nourishment of the five senses, and internal healing and regeneration. This workshop is appropriate for pools with warmer water and shares with you several proven "M.A.P.S." to guide you towards this purpose: a proven format of M.editation, A.ffirmations & A.sana, P.ranayama, and S.ensorial Bombardment. Most amazingly, this experience addresses all of your senses and requires NO special equipment to be effective. AQUATIC SHAKTI: the experience®
SHAKTI is the Sanskrit word for the energy released throughout the body when one practices particular hatha yogic asanas. This is an aquatic, non-purist mind-body approach at its best: fuse fitness applications of standing and suspended inspirations of yoga vinyasas, T'ai Chi, Feldenkrais, Gyrating moves and Pilates with non-traditional mind-body music. This workshop will teach you the power of nonverbal cueing skills (taught in silence) and choreographed mind-body flow so you can be inspired to both visually cue and choreograph your own version of "SHAKTI," creating not a "work-out" but a "work-in.. Learn both an overview of the purpose of gentle water massage as well as specific techniques as we work in pairs. This workshop will give both personal trainers and group fitness leaders both theory and practical application to implement basic tenets of WATSU in a WARM WATER pool. Embark on a liquid mind-body circuit journey: Let Lawrence act as tour guide as we explore aquatic versions of Feldenkrais, yoga, T'ai Chi, and Pilates. "DEFY GRAVITY: DIM SUM"
This is a cardiovascular experience in a shallow-water pool that recreates a deep-water experience as we “defy gravity,” learning grounded choreography movement progressions and then making them suspended. We explore stability and mobility for an athletic population, with progressions (increasing difficulty) and regressions (decreasing). We will fuse it with a bit of choreography, core training with balance, and agility training. (Equipment: gloves)
Want to simulate an interval cycling experience in the pool? “Use your noodle” in this masterclass and create a cycling class in the hydro environment that will not only move your “cycle” around the pool, but also will incorporate upper-body muscles simultaneously, doing 'jumps,' 'hills,' 'climbs,' 'races,' and 'flats.' For programming ideas to create an aquatic cycle class based on both singles and pairs, this workshop is for you! (Equipment: noodles, one per participant)
"HYDRO YO-CHI®" (for warm water)

Apply aquatic principles as you unlock the chi potential of your body by fusing T'ai-Chi Yang Short Form and adapted HATHA yoga asanas. Reap the benefits of both isometric and isotonic muscular contractions, balance betterment, and improved relaxation through moving meditation colored with visualization. This is Core Training for the water! This thrilling adventure in core stability & mobility uses the aquatic environment for serious fun and games for both the outer adult and inner child. Inspired by the Las Vegas show for a "circus of stability," we incorporate noodles, balls, bands, partner play, and the dynamic principles of the water to challenge our base of support as we become more functional, including "tightrope walking" in the water!.
