In addition to 90-120 minute workshop trainings, since Lawrence both works for and represents the following companies, he can also bring to you in-depth programs from these internationally-recognized organizations:
PART 1 of 2 HOURS: THE INTERNET AT LARGE: Websites and Google and Fares! Oh My! Fitness professionals need to stay abreast of the current trends and techniques in the ever-evolving field of fitness. To do this, the world wide web oftentimes proves to be the most accurate, speedy, and cost-effective way. Unfortunately, given the fitness professional's busy schedule today, we usually don't have time to spend endless amounts of time clicking to find information from the plethora of (sometimes confusing) sites out there. Lawrence has done the work for you, and will give you a succinct list of the best fitness resource sites (both free and paid) from among all organizations, listing where to go for valid research, nutrition information, choreography, movement analysis and design, and program design. Get free keywords to enter paid sites, discount coupon codes for retail/wholesale sites, passwords for freebies, and discover how to save time using the web wisely!
PART 2 of 2 HOURS: SOCIAL MEDIA INTENSIVE: Bite the bullet and learn how to boost your business for free using Facebook, Twitter, and other popular applications. Discover how NOT to make a post, and the 3:1 rule for Facebook posts for fitness professionals. We will go live on the internet to examine practical, interactive demonstration of "Fitness Facebook."
1/2 DAY PRECON: CREATING MIND-BODY BOOTCAMPS!
Calling all Mind-Body Group Ex Instructors and Mind-Body Personal Trainers!
One of Lawrence's most successful programs is "Buddha-Camp: Aggressive Mind-Body." Just because it's mind-body, doesn't mean that intensity is low, right? This preconvention workshop will allow you not only to experience segments of Lawrence's "Buddha Camp," but you will also get a DVD of one entire workout as well as the music! You will learn the four most successful methods for creating a mind-body bootcamp fusion experience, and practice discovering which one works best for you. If you are a mind-body instructor, you will leave with many ideas for new class formats, as well as new exercises themselves for your classes and clients. The description for Lawrence's "Buddha Camp" mind-body bootcamp that you will experience is: If you know Lawrence, you know he’s a lover and not a fighter, so “boot camp” isn’t in his repertoire. Seen at Equinox clubs, this is his mindful answer to the boot-camp craze, with an aggressive fusion of effective and intense series that all flow from Yoga to Pilates to T'ai Chi. Most uniquely, the only equipment used is bodyweight and an open mind and heart! (Equipment: mats).
AQUATIC HARD CORE AND PEACE CORE TRAINING
Morning Hard Core: Spend the morning with intensive aquatic training joining Lawrence to learn new ways to train both stability and mobility of our clients in aggressive cardio and strength options. Learn new, research-based techniques for training movements, not muscles, emphasizing form over physique. Whether you are training a novice or an elite athlete, you will learn how to make every movement a multi-level movement, with progressions and regressions of difficulty. This is our HARD CORE section of the pre con in the morning.
Afternoon Peace Core: In the afternoon, we flow into a more mind-body application of core challenge, emphasizing a fusion of mind-body disciplines like yoga, pilates, t'ai chi, and other disciplines, both with and without equipment. Temperature permitting, we will even learn the beginnings of WAT-SU massage, making for a perfect ending to our day and start of the rest of the convention. This is our PEACE CORE section of the precon in the afternoon.
Take the Aquatic Hard Core or Peace Core Trainings separately or save money and take them both! "Hard Core, Peace Core" is not your aquatic experience of the 1980's. We've come a long way in learning how to maximize benefits in minimal time, so learn the fusion of research-based practical!
Total of 6 CECs when taken together! "If you want what you've never had, you have to sometimes do what you've never done" --Lawrence

GLIDING INTO EVOLVED ENERGIES
EVOLUTION MIND-BODY: WHERE EAST MEETS BEST
The following is best offered as a PRECONVENTION WORKSHOP with a MINIMUM of FIVE hours: Spend a day with one of the world's leading pioneers of mind-body hybrid programming as we fuse the best of the next generation of mind-body fitness applications: yoga, Pilates, T'ai Chi, and Feldenkrais with popular gym equipment. Suitable for both group exercise and personal trainers, this "minds-on" workshop will give you:
new exercises with equipment (foam roller, Gliding disk) based on the principles of T'ai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, and Feldenkrais for equipment
practical class formats and choreography progressions with names and exercises
evolved exercises from each discipline that stand alone strong, including exercise progressions and regressions
ideas on creating and implementing mind-body fusion programs with classes and clients
A huge trend in the personal training market today is aquatic personal training. Truly, aquatic personal trainers rarely can satisfy all the demands of potential clients and their waiting list is often full. Spend a day with Lawrence Biscontini, MA, aquatic personal trainer of the Caribbean's Golden Door Spas, (or another faculty member) learning about the components of an aquatic personal training session. We will review the fundamental principles of aquatic fitness, attend group strength and cardiovascular aquatic sessions, and learn individualized personal training techniques adapted especially for the aquatic personal trainer. You will take away a career path to help add personal training in the aquatic environment to your job description, including both deep and shallow water training, no equipment training, and movement patterns and exercises using the most popular aquatic equipment available today. (Equipment: lcd projector, webbed gloves, aquatic noodles, water buoys, and elastic tubing)
